Dr William Lim completed his Basic degree in Dental Surgery in 2008 with the Outstanding Undergraduate Research Prize.
He received his training as a Dental Officer at the National Dental Centre Singapore and Changi General Hospital.
He subsequently went on to pursue his Masters in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in the year 2010.
Dr William Lim served as a Consultant in the National Dental Centre Singapore where he was the Head of the Oral and Craniofacial Implant Program. This involved clinical management and education of the graduate students in the Masters Course.
He is still active in teaching the undergraduates in dental school as well as fellow clinicians. He instructs in courses relevant to his field of scope – wisdom tooth surgery, implant surgery and suturing course to name a few.
Dr William Lim became a Fellow of the Academic Medicine Institute in 2016 and was awarded the National Medical Research Council grant in 2018. He served as the President of the Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Singapore in 2021 and believes in giving back to the profession.
He has special interest in 3 dimensional imaging with reference to diagnosis and surgical planning of dental implant cases.
Dr Lim received the silver award for the Singhealth Quality Service Award 2022.
