Dr Ariel Toh

Orthodontist

 

Dr Ariel Toh is an accredited Orthodontist on the Ministry of Health specialist register. She graduated from NUS with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery and worked in government service, treating a range of young children and teenagers in Health Promotion Board and School Dental Service, to adults in polyclinics and the National Dental Centre of Singapore (NDCS).
 
Under the training sponsorship of NDCS, she did her 3-year full-time training in Orthodontics in NUS from 2013 and obtained her Master of Dental Surgery (Orthodontics) and has since specialised in doing orthodontic treatment. Her other certifications include a Diploma of Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh (M Ortho RCSE), Fellowship in the Academy of Medicine Singapore (FAMS), as well as accreditation as an Invisalign provider.
 
Before joining Royce Dental Surgery, she was working as an Associate Consultant in the department of Orthodontics in NDCS. Her years of experience in NDCS has seen her treating a wide range of complex conditions such as jaw growth modification and interceptive treatment for children, as well as orthognathic surgery and clear aligner treatment for adults. She is well-versed in providing different orthodontic solutions to patients, using not only traditional braces, but also self-ligating braces systems (Damon braces), ceramic braces and Invisalign to cater to patients with different needs. In recognition of her multitude of experience in Invisalign, she has been awarded as an Invisalign Platinum Elite Provider (individual) in 2020 and 2021.
 
Her patient, warm and detailed nature has earned her recognition for excellent patient service in her career. She has won the Silver, Gold and Star Awards in the Singapore Health Quality Services Awards (SHQSA) for 2018, 2019 and 2020 respectively, and she continues to receive the award in 2022 while serving patients in private practice at our Bishan branch.
 
As a dental professional, she has received the Gold Medal for the scientific research category in the SEADDE-GC Dental Asia Student Prevention Table Clinician Competition in 2011 and has also presented her research on Dentofacial Deformities and Quality of Life at the European Orthodontic Congress in Switzerland. She maintains active professional memberships in the Singapore Dental Association and the Association of Orthodontists Singapore.
 
As an Orthodontist, she believes that braces treatment is the science of moving teeth to obtain a healthy bite and the art of creating a beautiful smile, to bring out one’s self-confidence that allows the inner beauty to shine through. She hopes to make the world smile more, by helping to create a more beautiful smile for individuals, one smile at a time.
