Wisdom Teeth Surgery

Wisdom teeth are our third molars. Due to evolution, our mouths have evolved to become smaller and thus, are not able to house the third molars properly most of the time, leading to impaction of these wisdom teeth.

 

It is advisable to remove impacted wisdom teeth because:

• They are usually non-functional (do not serve any purpose)
• They can cause pain due to gum inflammation around the gum tissues nearby
• They can cause pain due to decay because of inaccessibility of cleaning them well
